You’re organising the experience for a business, not just ordering a band for yourself. Give your hospitality team a consistent way to invite cashless tips, with recipient arrangements and staff guidance agreed before rollout.
FREE BANDSNO RECIPIENT FEES ↗A SETUP THAT FITS YOU
Make it work on the floor. Before it goes on a wrist.
Restaurants, bars, hotels and event operators have a different job to do: decide who uses the bands, what guests see, who receives the tips and how staff explain the experience. Tap Tip gives you a starting point for that rollout—not a reason to leave those decisions unclear.
IN YOUR WORLD
Give the whole floor a clear starting point.
Map the roles that will use bands, estimate your staff numbers and decide how tipping fits your existing arrangements. Make sure every member of the team can explain who the guest is tipping before you introduce the setup.
PUT IT INTO PRACTICE
Staff introduction: “A tap opens the recipient page. The guest checks it and chooses whether to tip.”
An example to adapt to your setting.
IN YOUR WORLD
Keep the guest experience consistent.
Reception, food service and other guest-facing roles may work in different places. Agree which roles take part, how recipients are presented and who coordinates the setup. Guests should not need a different explanation at every interaction.
PUT IT INTO PRACTICE
Rollout question: “Can every guest tell who they are thanking?”
An example to adapt to your setting.
IN YOUR WORLD
Plan the people and the places together.
Consider the number of staff, service locations and whether tap points need to move. Tell us about multiple venues or an event schedule so we can confirm an appropriate device mix and supported recipient arrangements.
PUT IT INTO PRACTICE
Planning question: “Where will guests tap, and who should receive those tips?”
An example to adapt to your setting.
WHAT MATTERS FOR YOUR SETUP
Three decisions. One clearer rollout.
01
Who is taking part?
List the staff or service roles using bands. Choose a person to coordinate enquiries, setup questions and the introduction to the team.
02
Who receives the tips?
Agree the intended recipients and ask us to confirm supported allocation and payout arrangements. Don’t assume automatic pooling, splitting or payroll integration.
03
What will guests hear?
Give staff a short, consistent explanation: tap to open the page, check the recipient, choose an amount and confirm. Keep the invitation optional.
Wearable bands keep the tap point with staff as they move. Shared tap points can suit a counter or event desk. Choose the format around the interaction and make the recipient clear at each location.
Bands are free and recipients pay no fees. Tell us your estimated band count and any shared-device needs; we’ll confirm the full arrangement before rollout.
CONFIDENCE IN THE DETAILS
Clear for your people. Clear for your guests.
A good rollout gives staff confidence about what to say and guests confidence about who they are tipping. Confirm recipient identity, payout arrangements and any reporting needs with us before launch. We’ll establish what is supported for your operation.
No sensitive card data on the band. The giver confirms on their own phone.Part of the Helix Pay ecosystem.
A LITTLE CLARITY
Good to know.
Can we order for a whole team?+
Yes. Choose “My team”, add your organisation and estimate the number of bands. We’ll follow up about venues, staff and your intended setup.
Can we use bands and fixed tap points together?+
Yes, ask us about a mixed rollout. Wearable bands suit mobile staff; shared tap points suit counters, event desks and campaign locations. Confirm availability and any terms for shared devices with our team.
How are tips allocated and paid out?+
That needs to be clear before you launch. Tell us whether you need individual recipient tipping or a venue-led arrangement, and we’ll confirm the supported setup, recipient requirements and payout process. We don’t assume that every team needs the same arrangement.
CONFIDENCE COMES FROM CLARITY
Worth asking. Easy to talk through.
Will staff know what to say?
Give them a short, consistent invitation. Explain that tapping opens a page, payment is optional and the guest confirms on their own phone.
Where do the tips go?
Make this a rollout decision, not an assumption. Confirm the named recipients, supported allocation arrangements and payout process with us before launch.
Do we have to plan every location now?
You can enquire about a single team or venue first. Tell us the initial number of bands and flag any wider rollout you’re considering.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU ENQUIRE
Plan it once. Explain it clearly.
01
Describe your floor
Tell us your organisation and estimated band count. We’ll follow up about your venues, service roles and where guests will tap.
02
Agree the money journey
Confirm who appears on the page, who receives funds and what your staff need to understand. Ask about any allocation or reporting requirements.
03
Introduce the experience
Once ready, walk your team through a tap, the recipient page and the guest’s confirmation step. Keep the invitation consistent and optional.
We’ll reply by email to discuss your setup.
LET’S GET YOU STARTED
Make it work for your floor.
Tell us your team size and venue. We’ll help you work through the setup. An enquiry starts a conversation; it doesn’t place a paid order.
